Textile Design Workshop

Learn how to design and create a repeat pattern using original artwork and Adobe Photoshop. The workshop will take place in the Make Space and the Digital Studio at Yarrila Place. 

Participants will complete a pattern repeat file ready to send off for printing. 

The workshop will run for 4 hours and will include: 
Digital illustration using iPads and a Stylus (Apple Pencil) 
The basics of textile design 
Pattern types 
How to turn an illustration or motif into a repeat pattern 
File types 
The basics of colour theory 

What you will get: 
A 4 hour in person workshop on fabric design 
A completed repeat pattern file ready to send to a printer 

What to bring: 
Any design inspiration 
Existing illustrations or motifs (scanning is available)
