The 2023 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year
Celebrate the natural heritage of Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica and New Guinea with the Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year. A South Australian Museum exhibition.
Halfway invites us on a collective journey to explore the changing identity of Coffs Harbour, a regional City undergoing cultural and physical transformations.
The exhibition explores how distance, time, speed, and space shape people’s perceptions of a place, and how an identity associated with being the ‘halfway point on the highway’ evolves over time.
Halfway embraces the evolution of Coffs Harbour by using contemporary art to explore the impact of major infrastructure projects and reflect on its shared history.
This exhibition is supported by the Dobell Exhibition Grant, funded by the Sir William Dobell Art Foundation and managed by Museums & Galleries of NSW.
