Join Gumbaynggirr artist Matthew Flanders for a duuwa (boomerang) painting and learning workshop.
Matthew will share cultural knowledge and highlights from his duuwa (boomerang) collection as well as demonstrate his painting techniques featured in his artwork in Saltwater Freshwater Arts 2023, currently on exhibition at Yarrila Arts and Museum.
Participants will be able to learn and practise these techniques on their own returning duuwa (boomerang). All materials and duuwa (boomerang) will be included in the cost of this workshop.
Please note this workshop does not include a duuwa (boomerang) throwing demonstration.
This workshop is suitable for adults and is also family friendly but recommended for children 8 and up. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
